Hello Everyone
My name is Mrs. Shemeluk, or Mrs. S for short, and I am so excited to be your child’s Pre-K 3 teacher this year! I can’t wait to meet you and your little one and begin an amazing school year together!
My Story
This will be my 17th year of teaching and my 12th year at Saint James. Teaching is truly my passion, and I consider it a privilege to help young children grow, learn, and discover the world around them. We have an exciting year ahead filled with fun, learning, laughter, and many new adventures!
I am a parishioner at Our Lady of Perpetual Help. I attended St. Barnabas Catholic School and graduated from Interboro High School in 2007. I then earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood, Elementary, and Special Education from Neumann University.
My husband, Mike, and I have a 9-year-old son named Brayden, who keeps us very busy! When I’m not in the classroom, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, playing and watching sports, traveling, and making memories at Disney World—one of our favorite places!
My goal is to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom where every child feels loved, valued, and excited to learn. I believe that a strong partnership between home and school is one of the keys to a successful year. Please never hesitate to reach out with any questions, concerns, or updates.
